ALA (alpha-lipoic acid or thioctic acid) is a compound that is soluble in both water and fat, very similar to vitamins. Cofactor for mitochondrial enzymes, it is produced by the human body in small quantities.
The B vitamin complex contains 8 water-soluble vitamins, with a role in the health and balance of the body. B1, B2, B3, B6, B7, B12 contribute to the normal functioning of the nervous system; B5 contributes to normal mental performance; B2 helps protect cells against oxidative stress.
