Vitamin D3 2000 IU is a product that brings many benefits to the body. Vitamin D can be synthesized in the body by exposure to UV radiation from the sun or can be obtained by taking food supplements. The synthesis of vitamin D in the skin by the action of the sun is insufficient to meet the requirements, especially in the winter months, when there is low exposure to sunlight. Vitamin D is important for the immune system / natural defense. Vitamin D deficiency is associated with low immunity as well as increased susceptibility to infection. The main physiological function of vitamin D is to maintain serum calcium and phosphorus concentrations in a range that supports cellular processes, neuromuscular function and bone ossification. Vitamin D deficiency can lead to thin, fragile or deformed bones, while a normal level prevents rickets in children, osteomalacia in adults and, along with calcium, helps protect the elderly who have osteoporosis. In women, one of the causes of osteoporosis is the lack of estrogen that occurs at menopause and causes increased bone resorption, but also decreased bone formation. In addition to estrogen, calcium metabolism plays an important role in bone growth, and calcium and vitamin D deficiency leads to dysfunctional bone storage.
